Report: Xolo Q1000S official features and price detail

ADVERTISMENTS

Xolo has launched a new Android phablet dubbed Xolo Q1000S. Till now Xolo has impressed all its customers with updated features and low price tags. Talking about India, then Xolo is the company which is known for high end specs and updated features. Whatever smartphones they have launched so far are very impressive. All sounds very high from technology front.

With Q1000S they have tried to compete Micromax A210 Canvas 4. From the very first look it seems to be on the rising edge in comparison with Canvas 4 (major specs only). I will make a detailed comparison in coming articles. They have launched it at a time when India’s best brand MMX has launched their flagship Canvas Doodle 2 with 5.7 inch screen. It is nice to see that Xolo has still used 5 inch screen for their latest flagship.

Technical features of Xolo Q1000S

Xolo Q1000S comes with a 5 inch HD IPS screen that is coupled with OGC technology. OGC screen is responsible for making colors more vibrant and touch screen more responsive. It bears 1280x720 pixels resolution at 294 ppi. Screen wise it is a nice piece and we have heard something new (OGC) this time. Hopefully it will deliver what they have promised in press release.

It runs on Android 4.2 Jellybean OS and is powered by a quad core 1.5 GHz processor with 1 GB RAM. Both the features are great and are going to push Xolo to new heights. 1 GB RAM and 1.5 GHz clocking is going to provide a very smooth multi-tasking experience. So full points on system configuration too.

It houses 13 MP rear camera with BSI 2 sensor. BSI2 sensor is the upgraded version of BSI sensor which enhances the overall image quality. Its front camera occupies a 5 MP lens with simple BSI sensor and video calling capabilities. It captures videos at 1080p resolution that delivers flawless output. HDR mode shooting and anti-shaking properties further magnify the camera experience.

It comes with 2500 mAh battery that plays music for 53 continuous hours. It provides 425 hours (2G), 327 hours (3G) standby and 22.5 hours (2G), 12.5 hours (3G) talk time backups.

Price and availability

Xolo Q1000S is launched in India with Rs. 18,999 initial price tag. It is available across all online/offline commerce stores in India.

Xolo Q1000S Rivals

At present, Micromax Canvas 4 appears to be its biggest competitor. That too comes around similar price tag and bears similar specs (almost). From comparison point of view both the mobiles stands good at respective zones. Q1000S wins over Canvas 4 on hardware corner whereas Canvas 4 wins over Q1000S over software corner.
