How to install Galaxy S4 TouchWiz 5 UI on any Android device

Samsung Galaxy is one Android device that most of the users want to have. To some extent, it is leading the whole Android industry. It is the current mobile flagship from company which is loaded with plethora of high end features. One such feature is its User Interface (UI). It uses TouchWiz 5 UI which works in a complete different manner than all old UI’s from Samsung. I hope you love this TouchWiz 5 work of S4. You can install the same UI on your Android device too. Please be patient while I sum up all the essential things here.

This UI is available for all Android 4.1+ Jellybean smartphones that are pre-rooted with Custom Recovery installed inside. It is the main criteria and you need to follow it seriously. Please don’t try if your device is un-rooted or rooted but there is no custom recovery to accomplish this new UI.

This tutorial will add new launcher to your smartphone which comes with 7 home screens. TouchWiz UI is going to provide home screen transitions with new level of customizations in app drawer. AOSP launcher’s features are also inherited in this addition. There is one new filtering system that will allow you to access downloaded apps/games more effectively. You can uninstall, hide and create new folders through app drawer tool. Sorting is also modified with more categories.

Please don’t except it to deliver exact similar interface like Galaxy S4. It will be somewhere closer to S4. One such example is Accuweather widget. It forecasts next 6 days weather prediction with approx results. But its quality is way behind than what is there on Galaxy S4.

This ROM is compatible with most of the ROMs which include stock ROMs, AOSP, AOKP, Paranoid, CM etc. it is suitable for most of the devices from Samsung, Sony, HTC, LG and all. Now let we move to the main section.

How to

1. Download the UI packet for appropriate versions: HDPI, XHDPI. Move with the appropriate version only. If selected wrong then it can damage the whole procedure.
2. Now move it to SD card of your smartphone.
3. Boot it to Recovery mode (your smartphone) and take a Nandriod Backup.
4. Perform a dalvik cache operation. Please do not select the factory reset option.
5. Now install the downloaded zip file (which you have moved to sd card).

After all the instructions, reboot your smartphone. With the first reboot, you should see refreshed UI. If you are getting the same old UI after first reboot then that means something has went wrong and you need to repeat the procedure once again. You may also take help from this reference link.
