Samsung Galaxy Note 3 VS LG Optimus G Pro: perfect phablet war

Wide screen gadgets are in fashion these days. Wide screen’s fashion was started by Samsung with Note series. Now almost every tech firm have own league of wide screen smartphone usually called phablets. 2013 has witnessed some of the very powerful smartphones/phablets. Here I am going to compare two very powerful phablets of 2013. I am talking about Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and LG Optimus G Pro. Phablets are most extensively used for narrowing the difference between a smartphone and tablet. Phablets can be used for making calls with large screen interface that provides wide platform for playing high end games easily.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 VS LG Optimus G Pro

From the very beginning, Samsung is used for wide screen smartphone. This time they have used 5.7 inch Super AMOLED screen for Note 3. It provides vibrant colors with 1920x1080 pixels full HD resolution. 396 ppi further amplifies the screen quality. G pro packs a 5.5 inch IPS Plus display that provides same resolution (1920x1080) but with improved 401 ppi density. So on the screen front, Optimus G Pro wins the race with a very narrow barrier.

Both the phones/phablets uses Qualcomm Snapdragon chips for processor. Note 3 have Snapdragon 800 chip with 2.3 GHz clocking that is complimented well by Adreno 330 GPU. 3GB RAM shifts the multi-tasking experience to a level which is seen never before. G pro on the second side lags somewhere with old Snapdragon 600 chip which have 1.7 GHz clocking and Adreno 320 GPU. Same is the case with RAM section where it packs only 2 GB RAM. 2 GB RAM is although sufficient but it is nowhere close to 3 GB RAM of Note 3.

Camera and Memory

On the camera front, both the phablets scores equally well with 13 MP rear and 2 MP front facing camera. Note 3 come with 2 memory variants 32 and 64 GB. Both the variants can be expanded to 64 GB. LG G Pro also comes in two variants16 and 32 GB respectively. It also allows 64 GB extension.

In most of the departments, Note 3 completely rules over G Pro. It includes some important sections like processor, RAM and internal memory. But Pro leads Note 3 on the screen aspect. But that is too low to consider it a winner. So according to me, Note 3 is way ahead of G Pro in terms of powerful processor, more RAM, internal, memory. So if you have the option between buying Note 3or Optimus G pro, then please go for Note 3.
