Samsung Galaxy Trend Duos specs, price and availability in India

ADVERTISMENTS

Samsung is now entering the world of low cost gadgets/smartphones with Samsung Galaxy Trend Duos. It’s not like they haven’t entered low cost world ever before. They are doing it from year now. But for the first time I am seeing some quality specs from a low budgeted Samsung smartphone. In general cases they are assumed to bring high end specs in only high amounted smartphones. From the Indian market point of view (price oriented mostly) it is going to give tough times for pieces like Micromax A110 Canvas 2, Titanium S5 (to some extent) etc. you will yourself fall in love with this smartphone after knowing its specs.

There are some particular specs where this mobile doesn’t perform well but according to me all its cons are neutralized by its price sticker. One interesting thing to note here is that Samsung hasn’t announced it officially but they have revealed it through online retailed Snapdeal. Snapdeal is a trusted online retailer in India. They have just delivered me a smartphone with absolute perfect condition. All their services are nice and you can go with them without any second thought.

Samsung Galaxy Trend Duos specs

Samsung Galaxy Trend Duos is a new addition to Trend series. With the word duos, Samsung is representing dual SIM option. It shows a 4 inch WVGA display with 480x800 pixels screen. Obviously it comes with capacitive touch support option which provides facilities like pinch to zoom, nice controls etc. It runs on Android 4.1 Jellybean OS with power of a 1.2 GHz dual core 512 MB RAMed processor. These two things (OS and Processor) are something that is surprising me a lot. Generally we don’t expect Samsung to score such well (in these two aspects) with ground level smartphones. 512 MB RAM s surely a matter of concern. But still 512 MB RAM with dual cored processor will provide decent speed for a 4 incher.

This dual SIM variant measure 11.1 mm in thickness with 128.5 grams approx weighs. 11.1 mm thickness reflects a medium level phone from thickness front. It comes with 3 MP rear main camera that equips proximity and ambient light sensors. Sadly it doesn’t have a front facing camera which is a clear disappointment for all 3G lovers out there.

You can store decent data in its 4 GB internal storage with an extension to 32 GB. Although it is a 3G smartphone but you will not be able to use video calling feature through this phone. 1500 mAh battery is there which provides very average backup with 4 inch screen and dual core 512 MB RAM processor.

Price and availability

At present it is listed exclusively on Snapdeal. From there you can buy it for Rs. 8,490 with white and black color options.
