XXCMI2 based Android 4.1.2 ROM for Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet N8000

ADVERTISMENTS

Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet modelled N8000 has received the Android 4.1.2 Jellybean update from custom developers. Based on XXCMI2 Firmware it provides the smoothness of Android Jellybean with positive transformation in all other features (mostly). Here I am going to guide you with step by step details about how to install XXCMI2 Firmware on Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000.

It is one of the building blocks of Note series of Samsung. We can’t even imagine the Note series without this particular device. Sadly Samsung hasn’t released any official Android 4.2 or 4.3 Jellybean based ROM for this smartphone. Also it seems that they have no plans for the same in coming months too. It clearly means if you want to experience high end features inside Galaxy Note then you will have to take assistance from custom ROMs.

According to the developers of ROM (which I am discussing here) it comes with proper bug fixation that increases the overall performance of the smartphone. Also the kind of features it comes with are nowhere less than any other branded/flagship Android Jellybean machine. As it is a custom ROM which means you will have to root your Galaxy Note prior to it. You also need a custom recovery for this ROM upgrade. Let me know (through comments) if you need any help on that section. You will easily find rooting and recovery guides on Google.

To increase the level of protection, you are advised to follow some certain pre-requisites which can be accessed from here. In these pre-requisites I haven’t listed one step (which is needed here). That is about USB as Debugging Mode. You will have to use USB cable here so please activate the UAD (USB as Debugging) mode from Settings>>Development section. It will encode the entire process with better compatibility.

How To

Once you are ready with all the pre-requisites and above mentioned steps, you can step for main tutorial mentioned below:

1. Download ROM to your computer. Place it on desktop.
2. This ROM supports Odin integration. Odin features standard steps for ROM installation. You can get them from here.

Before performing these steps, you will have to boot your Galaxy Note to Download Mode. You can do it by this method:
• Switch OFF Note. Press and hold Vol. Down + Home + Power buttons simultaneously till it gets booted to Download Mode. If you are booting to normal mode then you will have to repeat this step again and again (till you see recovery boot notification on screen).
• You can do it with help from ROM Manager App from Play Store.

If you follow all the steps carefully then you will end up with a complete new ROM inside your Galaxy Note.
