Install C-ROM Android 4.3 Jellybean ROM in Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000

Android 4.3 updates are flooding for Samsung smartphones. After updating Galaxy S4 with latest Android 4.3 Jellybean environment, one more Samsung smartphone has received 4.3.1 ROM update. I am talking about Galaxy S GT I9000 which has received C-ROM update based on Android 4.3 firmware update. This ROM is developed by custom sources so you need to root your Galaxy S (if you want to apply this update). As no details about when Samsung will update Galaxy S with official firmware is available so according to me it is a good option for all users who are already enjoying some kind of custom ROM on their Galaxy S. Users who are still with official firmware’s can neglect it as well (if they want to be on the secure side).

This ROM comes with hosts of features which includes a complete new refreshed Google Apps package (in form of a custom file) that updates this smartphone with latest Google apps. Stability is also provided with this firmware. Above all it is going to house all Android 4.3 Jellybean stock features which are second to none in entire Android world. I can’t comment about its reliability as it comes from custom sources but as number of other custom ROMs are there for Galaxy S so you can anytime revert back to old ROM (if you don’t like it). Now I am going to brief the manual procedure for applying this update but before that please follow these pre-requisites.

C-ROM for Galaxy S

1. Download ROM and GApps to computer.
2. Now follow these steps.

You need to follow above steps for flashing both ROM as well as GApps packages. In these steps, you will have to boot your Galaxy S to recovery mode. You can do it by following two ways:

• By powering ON the mobile with Vol. Up and Menu keys combination.
• By downloading ROM Manger App from Play Store>>Installing that and selecting Recovery Booting option.

Any of above two methods will boot your smartphone to recovery mode. I will prefer you to go with first method (manual one) as it don’t need any extra software or something like. It is quite easy if you follow the combination correctly. Once you are down with the complete procedure, please ensure its efficiency from Settings>>About Phone menu. It should display Android 4.3 Jellybean ROM version there. So enjoy all the latest features of this custom ROM with complete interface of latest Jellybean iteration.
