ADVERTISMENTS

After world class PC’s, Laptops, Smartphones, now Lenovo has launched a new Windows 8.1 Blue tablet. Talking about India then festive season has already hit the market with big boom from various other countries. Till now we have seen tablets from HCL and Binatone for this festive season. Both these tablets were developed for kids with Android OS. But Lenovo has used Windows environment which provides this tablet a professional look. Dubbed as Lenovo Miix2, it is an addition to Miix series. This time they have used the latest Windows iteration that we have right now on the Windows platform. I am too using the same iteration so I can better tell you all its features and overall user experience.

Lenovo Miix2 is going to come with an 8 inch 1280x800 pixels capacitive screen. It runs on Windows Blue OS. It is one of the shortlisted gadgets that come with the latest iteration. Windows Blue for touch screen tablet is something like a dream coming true. I am using its preview version (on a non-touch device) and I am fully satisfied with its performance. It is fast, super responsive and very user friendly (once you learn the basic things). You will surely have to invest some hours with its basic features like how to close one window, how to switch between two active task bars, managing live tiles etc.

It is powered by an Intel Bay Trail-T chipped quad core processor that is paired with Intel HD graphics tray. It is a perfect combination and you can’t expect anything better than this. It provides 32 GB expandability for internal memory with 5 MP rear and 2 MP front facing cameras.

It is carved with very sleek dimensions having 8.1 mm thickness only. This thickness adds stylish factor to this smart tablet. Its graphics tray is coated with clear video HD technology which provides very high class viewing experience on 8 inch wide screen. IPS glass is used for its screen layer. This glass provides better and wider viewing angles. We are still looking for official information about its battery. It should be somewhere closer to 3000-3500 mAh.

Price and availability

Lenovo hasn’t decided its price and releasing dates. I think it will go on shipping very soon (might be from next week even). With the kind of specs it comes with, it should be tagged somewhere around Rs. 15-20K cost.

Latest Windows platform, Intel powered processor and graphics units are its striking feature. All in all it is a high end tablet that can easily beat most of the competitors.
