Zen Ultrafone 502 launched for Rs. 7,299 with dual core processor, Android 4.2 Jellybean etc

Zen has announced Zen Ultrafone 502 in Indian market. It is the successor of Ultrafone 501 which was launched earlier this year. It is an entry level phone (from price) which features decent specs for its slot. I have seen Zen with one new smartphone after so long. This might be considered as festive season try from them. They have suddenly stopped launching new gadgets. According to me they should try with an all-new thinking that can benefit both customers as well as themselves. I am sure they are enough capable of doing it.

Well talking about Ultrafone 502 then it houses a 4.5 inch IS screen with 960x540 pixels display. IPS screen with such resolution is hard to get at this price point. IPS glass provides one of the best angle coverage in industry today. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean OS which is the latest trend in Indian market. Now all smartphones (with low, medium and high price tags) are coming with this Android iteration. It runs on excepted dual core processor that is clocked at 1 GHz clocking with 512 MB RAM. Quality wise it is not a decent sector but in comparison with price, it is acceptable.

It offers dual SIM supports with GSM+WCDMA SIMs option. It comes with 8 MP rear and 1.3 MP front facing cameras that are its highlighting features. Users hardly expect such camera quality from an entry level smartphone.

It is a full entertainment machine with support to all multi-media formats and additional extension to 3.5 mm audio jack system. It allows you to magnify your music experience to great folds. It is well accompanied by its 4 GB ROM.

It comes with 1700 mAh battery that provides approx. 4-6 hours talk time. As this smartphone has the 3G connectivity option, so we can expect some high speed internet on it.

Price and availability

It is listed on online stores for Rs. 7,299. Its original MRP in offline stores might scale somewhat higher to a tag of Rs. 8,999 or something like. If I have to conclude all the things then according to me it is a decent try from mobile manufacturers Zen. They might have reduced its online price for festive season only. So better to go for it now!

Frankly speaking then it is a full featured smartphone which is pretty hard to find at entry level slot. All its features can be counted in pros side. Its battery and RAM are something out of scale but we can expect them for Rs. 7,299.
