Intex Aqua i15: 6 incher specs and price

Intex seems to be in some sort of rush these days. Earlier this morning we have covered the report about upcoming Intex phablet Aqua Curve and now we are seeing one more Aqua device popped up at official web portal. This time it is Intex Aqua i15 which is going to be a 6 inch smartphone. It is one of their first 6 incher and that too under Aqua series (their most popular smartphone series). We have gone deeply with its specs but believe me we have not found any unique or striking feature in it. It is stuffed with usual features that are there inside most of other competitors.

Intex Aqua i15 complete specs

As I said earlier it will house a 6 inch screen which is tagged with 960x540 pixels resolution. It is an average (even below average) figure for a 6 inch screen. With this resolution, it is not going to output any kind of high quality color vibrant experience. It will run on Android OS (version not specified yet). But it should work on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean (as it will provide software rich features to this 6 inch smartphone/phablet). It supports 262K colors only which clearly shows that it is going to be a low budget smartphone (as otherwise it would have supported full 16M colors). It is 9 mm sleek with 190 grams approx weight.

This smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor that is embedded with 512 MB RAM. They are using MediaTek MT6582 processor chip for its processing unit. This chip was earlier used by brands like Micromax in one of their Canvas series smartphone. Frankly speaking then 512 MB RAM is not made for a 6 inch device (for high end smartphone). It will only create processing problems for this giant 6 incher. Mali 400 GPU is there for handling the graphics department.

Other specs are similar to most of other smartphones which includes 4 GB on board memory, 32 GB memory extension, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc. 8 MP rear and 2 MP front facing cameras are also there in the list. It will equip a 2400 mAh battery which according to me will charge it for decent hours. 2400 mAh seems to be fine for a 6 inch smartphone.

Price and availability

No words about this segment are dropped by the officials. However they will provide a free flip cover along with each new Intex Aqua i15 piece.
