Buy Nokia Asha 502 in India at best prices

ADVERTISMENTS

Nokia Asha 502 has finally gone on sale in India now. It is an excellent Nokia kind of entry level device that is packed with basic features. I am saying excellent because we all know what Nokia is known for. They are best known for coming up with entry level rough and tough smartphones that are very rigid to any sort of external conditions. Nokia Asha 502 is of the same league and will give you a decent user experience with its features.

Frankly speaking then there is nothing much to talk about its features but let me discuss them here. It comes with 2.8 inch screen with usual 320x240 pixels QVGA screen. It coats a capacitive touch screen which somewhere will let you experience functionalities like pinch to zoom, easy swipe etc. it is a standard phone when it comes to appearance. It is 13.2 mm thick and weighs approx 89.2 grams. Thickness might be a factor here (it will be thick than usual smartphones) but not the weight.

It comes with 1.3 MP fixed focus back rear camera that captures images with very average quality. In past I have used 2MP camera from Nokia and that was good enough to shoot pictures with decent clarity. But I have some doubts for this 1.3 MP lens. Like most of the Asha smartphones, it too comes with dual SIM support but you need to use Micro SIMs here (you can convert your normal SIM to micro SIM at your nearby electronic stores/shops.

Asha 502 is a 2G phone with Bluetooth and FM Radio connectivity. It wraps accelerometer and proximity sensor for better automotive performance. It comes with 64 MB RAM and 64 MB ROM. It is the saddest thing about Asha 502. Frankly speaking then I can’t use a phone with 64 MB RAM and ROM only. You can expand its external memory up to 32 GB.

Company has used standard Nokia Asha software v 1.1 + Swipe UI operating system here. It equips a 1020 mAh battery that outputs 12 hours talk time and 21 days standby time.

Price and availability

Nokia has launched Asha 502 in 6 color bodies. These are green, red, black, yellow, white and cyan. You can buy it for Rs. 3,449. According to me one should not spend Rs. 3500 approx value for a gadget/smartphone with 64 MB RAM and ROMs only. If possible then please increase your budget and go for some Android smartphone. But yes if you are looking for a life time phone (that could at least run for 5-6 years) then you can go for it freely.
