Lava Iris 406Q specifications and price

From last few days Lava has become a brand that is launching new smartphones at regular intervals. Yesterday we have covered two new Lava smartphones and today we are here with one more Lava smartphone and that too under the same Iris series. I was discussing one important thing about repeated specs. Usually we have seen Lava to come up with repeated specs but finally they have changed this trend to some extent. New smartphone is dubbed as Lava Iris 406Q and it comes with some unique and new specifications (that are not there in most of other Lava smartphones). They have experimented with screen size, OS and some other segments. In a nutshell it is decent phone that features something new from Lava.

Coming to the specs point then it spots a 4 inch screen with 800x480 pixels screen resolution. Not the best but it is surely a decent resolution for a 4 incher that should be capable of resolving picture with every possible detail. It runs on Android 4.3 Jellybean OS which is a new thing for all Lava users. Till now they have mainly focused on Android 4.2 JB systems but finally they have upgraded themselves to new OS base. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor that pairs a 1 GB RAM to system. It is perfect for a 4 incher and we can expect it to deliver a high level multi-tasking system.

It is a dual SIM smartphone with dual standby option. It comes with usual 4 GB on board memory chip that can be expanded to 32 GB. Like most of other smartphones it too has 5 MP AF rear (LED) and VGA front facing cameras.

Connectivity wise you will find everything that you require in a decent Android smartphone. It is a 3G smartphone so you can expect high speed net surfing with this smartphone. It houses a 1700 mAh battery which is not looking that appealing and attractive and according to me it will keep it charged for good 4-5 hours.

Price and availability

Price of Lava Iris 406Q in India is Rs. 6999. According to me a 4 incher quad core Android 4.3 JB smartphone for Rs. 7,000 is a good choice and can become a perfect solution for all entry level (price wise) smartphone seekers. It holds all the features that will entertain in long run.
